DNC Announces Historic Six-Figure Ad Campaign Targeting Over One Million LGBTQ+ Voters in Battleground States and Races

Today, the DNC announced a historic, six-figure paid media campaign targeting LGBTQ+ voters in battleground states and target House and Senate seats across the country. The ‘I Will Vote’ media campaign, which will reach over one million voters in the first week alone, is the first time the DNC has executed a dedicated paid media campaign targeting LGBTQ+ publications and is a show-of-force as Democrats do everything they can to turn out voters in every community in this election.

The strategic investment comes as the Harris-Walz campaign and Human Rights Campaign, along with PA Democrats, launch 10 Days of Action, a series of events aimed at mobilizing and turning out LGBTQ+ and allied voters. The DNC’s ‘I Will Vote’ campaign directs voters to the DNC’S most complete, accurate, and up-to-date national coverage of polling places and voter education information all in one place.

“This historic investment from the Democrats aims to meet voters where they are, recognizing that the LGBTQ+ community is a large and diverse voting bloc that we are not taking for granted,” said DNC Chair Jaime Harrison. “Our fundamental freedoms to be who we are and love who we love are on the ballot this November, and we’re empowering diverse corners of the LGBTQ+ community to make their voices heard. In this fractured media environment, we know that we need to be smart about how we are talking to people, reaching voters through trusted platforms so folks in the LGBTQ+ community and beyond can easily check their voter registration status and learn when, where, and how to vote. Democrats are leaving no stone unturned to win this election, and by engaging a diverse coalition of voters in places where we know we need to boost turnout, we will elect Democrats up and down the ballot, from the White House to the school board and beyond.”

Supporting and Investing in LGBTQ+ Communities and Small Businesses

In the midst of an onslaught of attacks directed towards the LGBTQ+ community by the Trump campaign, the Democrats are strategically engaging and investing in uplifting LGBTQ+ communities and businesses through this dedicated media campaign. Working with Rivendell Media, the oldest LGBTQ+ media firm in the United States entirely devoted to LGBTQ+ media buying, the DNC is working with local and cross-coalitions publications across the United States, touching at least 32 LGBTQ+ small businesses through this campaign alone. The investments include:

  • In Georgia, the Democrats are supporting Georgia Pride weekend with an ad in Georgia Voice.
  • The targeted ads appear in both GoGuide Voter’s Guide and Las Vegas Spectrum’s special annual voter’s guide.
  • The DNC ad will be featured in Philadelphia Gay News during OurFest, a festival and parade celebrating National Coming Out Day in Philadelphia.

The ad campaign will be featured in the following 16 LGBTQ+ publications, with more being added weekly:

  • Metro Weekly – Washington/DMV
  • Washington Blade – Washington/DMV
  • HotSpots – Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, FL
  • Out South Florida – Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, FL
  • Watermark – Orlando/St. Petersburg/Tampa, FL
  • Georgia Voice – Atlanta, GA
  • GoGuide Voter’s Guide – Iowa
  • Q Notes – Charlotte, NC
  • Las Vegas Spectrum – Las Vegas, NV
  • Out Smart- Houston
  • Philadelphia Gay News – Philadelphia, PA
  • Q Burgh – Pittsburgh, PA
  • Dallas Voice – Dallas, TX
  • SWERV – National African American publication
  • Ambush – New Orleans, LA
  • ION AZ – Arizona

🚨 Donald Trump Dismissed The Issue of Reproductive Freedoms As “Largely Quelled” While Women Die “Preventable” Deaths

In response to Donald Trump dismissing attacks on reproductive freedoms, which he made possible by overturning Roe v. Wade, DNC Spokesperson Aida Ross released the following statement:

“Donald Trump didn’t ‘quell’ the issue of attacks on reproductive freedoms when he ‘proudly’ overturned Roe — he made it worse. Because of Trump, women are denied emergency care and dying preventable deaths, Americans face new threats to their ability to start or grow their family because of attacks on IVF, and Republicans across the country are passing cruel abortion bans. Trump is trying to cover for what he created, but make no mistake: he, JD Vance, and their MAGA allies are pushing an extreme Project 2025 agenda that will take these dangerous bans nationwide and rip away our basic rights.”

NEW: Donald Trump dismissed reproductive freedom issues as “largely quelled” as women are dying “preventable” deaths across the country under the abortion bans he previously said are “working very brilliantly.”

Donald Trump: “I think that– and just getting back to your original thought on the abortion […] It’s back with the states, and it’s a vote of the people, and that’s where everybody wanted it to be. And I think that issue is largely quelled because of that.”

Trump: “We broke Roe v. Wade and we did something that nobody thought was possible. We gave it back to the states, and the states are working very brilliantly … But they’re working, and it’s working the way it’s supposed to.”

ProPublica: “Abortion Bans Have Delayed Emergency Medical Care. In Georgia, Experts Say This Mother’s Death Was Preventable.”

“But ProPublica obtained reports that confirm that at least two women have already died after they couldn’t access legal abortions and timely medical care in their state…

“Thurman’s case marks the first time an abortion-related death, officially deemed ‘preventable,’ is coming to public light. ProPublica will share the story of the second in the coming days…

“But since abortion was banned or restricted in 22 states over the past two years, women in serious danger have been turned away from emergency rooms and told that they needed to be in more peril before doctors could help. Some have been forced to continue high-risk pregnancies that threatened their lives. Those whose pregnancies weren’t even viable have been told they could return when they were ‘crashing.’”

NBC News: “A dramatic rise in pregnant women dying in Texas after abortion ban”

TRUMP DID THIS: Trump paved the way for draconian abortion bans when he “proudly” overturned Roe v. Wade.

Trump: “I was proudly the person responsible for the ending of … Roe v. Wade.”

Trump: “For 54 years they were trying to get Roe v. Wade terminated, and I did it, and I’m proud to have done it. … Nobody else was going to get that done but me, and we did it, and we did something that was a miracle.”

Trump: “After 50 years of failure, with nobody coming even close, I was able to kill Roe v. Wade, much to the ‘shock’ of everyone … Without me there would be no 6 weeks, 10 weeks, 15 weeks, or whatever is finally agreed to. Without me the pro Life movement would have just kept losing. Thank you President TRUMP!!!”

Trump: “I’m the one that got rid of Roe v. Wade, and everybody said that was an impossible thing to do. I put on three Supreme Court justices. Very few people have had that privilege or honor.”

Trump: “Getting rid of Roe v. Wade was an incredible thing for pro-life because it gave pro-life something to negotiate with. Pro-life had absolutely nothing, being stuck in Roe v. Wade, to negotiate with. … And look, everybody that was president wanted to get rid and tried to get rid of Roe v. Wade … For fifty years, this has been going on. I was able to do it, and I was very honored to do it.”

New York Times: 22 states across the country currently have abortion bans.

Trump, Vance, and their Project 2025 allies are pushing a dangerous Project 2025 agenda that would ban abortion nationwide, threaten access to IVF and contraception, and rip away reproductive freedoms.

Rolling Stone: “Trump Wants to Ban Abortion Nationwide: Report”

Trump: “There of course remains a vital role for the federal government in protecting unborn life. And it’s very important.”

Trump: “There has to be some form of punishment [for women who have an abortion].”

Interviewer: “There are ads running that say that you would support certain states with bans monitoring a woman’s pregnancy.”

Trump: “Well that would be up to the states, again. They will make a decision as to how they do it.”

Washington Post:Vance urged DOJ to enforce Comstock Act, crack down on abortion pills”

New Republic: “On January 20, 2025, conservatives plan to resurrect a 150-year-old defunct law to ban abortion across the nation. This is not a secret plan—far from it. It’s part of the 180-Day Playbook produced by Project 2025, detailing priorities for an incoming conservative president on day one.”

Politico: “Anti-abortion advocates worked for five decades to topple Roe v. Wade. They’re now laying the groundwork for a yearslong fight to curb in vitro fertilization.

“Since the Alabama Supreme Court ruled last month that frozen embryos are children, the Heritage Foundation and other conservative groups have been strategizing how to convince not just GOP officials but evangelicals broadly that they should have serious moral concerns about fertility treatments like IVF and that access to them should be curtailed.”

Vance: “On the question of defunding Planned Parenthood […] our view is we don’t think that taxpayers should fund late term abortions. That has been a consistent view of the Trump campaign the first time around, it will remain a consistent view.”

Project 2025, page 471: “Prohibit Planned Parenthood from receiving Medicaid funds… Policymakers should end taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood.”

Media Matters: “The Heritage Foundation quietly released draconian new IVF policy recommendations for the next GOP president”

“Heritage has been a staunchly anti-IVF voice, supporting Alabama’s controversial Supreme Court ruling that frozen embryos cultivated through IVF treatment have the same rights as living children, and that a person can be held liable for destroying embryos.”

The Nation: “Project 2025 Has Bad Medicine for HHS”

“And by declaring that life begins at conception, his manifesto appears to commit HHS to finding ways to outlaw IVF, which relies on generating multiple embryos, most of which are not implanted.”

The 19th: “RNC approves platform that would give rights to fetuses, endangering abortion, IVF”

“Fetal personhood is widely seen as being in conflict with in vitro fertilization (IVF), which creates embryos outside of the uterus that are later implanted. Fetal personhood bestows the same rights currently reserved for people to embryos from the moment of fertilization.”

Reproductive Freedom for All: “The extensive mandate calls to gut reproductive freedom, including effectively banning medication abortion, ending access to emergency abortion care, attacking contraception, deploying fetal personhood, and undermining IVF in federal policy…

“Project 2025 includes personhood language and policies that propagate the belief that life begins at conception—which could have devastating impacts should it be put into law. This so-called “personhood” language could ban not only abortion but also some forms of birth control and assisted fertility treatments like IVF.”

Rolling Stone: “Inside the MAGA Plan to Attack Birth Control, Surveil Women and Ban the Abortion Pill”

Vance: “I’ve reviewed a lot of [Project 2025]. There are some good ideas in there.”

Axios: “[Project 2025] is undeniably a Trump-driven operation.”

Harris-Walz Plan for At-Home Care Will Lower Costs While Trump’s Project 2025 Agenda Would Raise Health Care, Home Care, Child Care Costs

In response to the Harris for President campaign’s announcement of a major Medicare proposal for long-term senior care, DNC National Press Secretary ⁨Emilia Rowland⁩ released the following statement:

“For our seniors and the millions of Americans who are raising kids as they care for aging relatives, Vice President Kamala Harris’ plans to lower the cost of home care, child care, and health care could not stand in starker contrast with Trump’s Project 2025 plans to rip away health care and raise the cost of prescription medications, all while eliminating Head Start and federal funding for affordable child care. Like many Americans, this struggle is deeply personal for Vice President Harris – and her new plans will lower the cost of at-home care for more than 105 million Americans who are caring for both kids and aging parents by expanding Medicare to include at-home care for the first time in our country’s history, lowering health care costs for the entire family, and lowering the cost of high-quality child care. This is the change America’s seniors, moms, dads, and caregivers deserve – and they won’t let Trump take us backwards.

NEW: The Harris-Walz campaign’s new proposal will lower costs for seniors and the generation that cares for them by expanding Medicare to include at-home care.

Huffpost: “Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris on Tuesday will propose a major new initiative: expanding Medicare to cover the cost of long-term care at home.

“Such a plan could mean the option of staying at home, rather than in a nursing facility, for the millions of seniors and people with disabilities who need help with the daily tasks of life.

“It could also mean physical and financial relief ― and new opportunities for school or work outside the home ― for the millions of working-age Americans who today provide so much of that care on their own without much in the way of outside assistance.

“If the proposed legislation is enacted, such a program would represent a substantial boost in federal support for caregiving and, by any measure, one of the largest one-time increases in American history.”

The Hill: “Harris to announce plan for Medicare home care benefit”

“The plan for a Medicare home care benefit would cover services like an in-home aide, aiming to allow families to avoid the high cost of sending older relatives to live in senior facilities.

“The vice president, if elected, would propose having the benefit paid for by expanding Medicare drug price negotiations, increasing the discounts drug manufacturers cover for certain brand-name drugs in Medicare, and cracking down on hidden costs from Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), which have reportedly acted to drive up prices, according to her campaign.”

Together with their plans to expand Medicare to include at-home care, the Harris-Walz ticket will increase access to quality, affordable child care and lower health care costs – relieving the burden on the “sandwich generation.”

Kamala Harris, A New Way Forward for the Middle Class: “Vice President Harris believes that our tax code should work for working Americans. She supported the first increase in three decades to the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) for workers who aren’t raising a child in their home. The Earned Income Tax Credit is a federal tax cut that boosts the incomes of and lowers taxes for low-to-moderate income workers. Vice President Harris’s expansion tripled the maximum tax cut for these workers to more than $1,500 for 2021. …

“Vice President Harris and Governor Walz will restore the expanded Child Tax Credit and expand it further to provide up to a $6,000 tax cut to families with newborn children. This will help parents in the first year of a child’s life—a period of critical development of a child when costs can add up for young parents who need to buy diapers, clothes, car seats, and more. They believe no child in America should live in poverty, and this reform will have a historic impact.”

Washington Post: “More than one-third of mothers who are registered to vote said they worry “a lot” about affording child care, according to a recent KFF poll … Vice President Kamala Harris has made the ‘care economy’ a cornerstone of her platform, vowing to permanently increase the child tax credit, add a one-time $6,000 credit for newborns and cap child-care costs at 7 percent of a working family’s income.”

Harris for President: “Vice President Harris cast the deciding vote on the American Rescue Plan, which made historic investments in the care economy. As President, she will fight to lower care costs for American families, including by … ensuring hardworking families can afford high-quality child care.”

Harris for President: “Vice President Harris will make affordable health care a right, not a privilege by expanding and strengthening the Affordable Care Act and making permanent the Biden-Harris tax credit enhancements that are lowering health care premiums by an average of about $800 a year for millions of Americans. She’ll build on the Biden-Harris Administration’s successes in bringing down the cost of lifesaving prescription drugs for Medicare beneficiaries by extending the $35 cap on insulin and $2,000 cap on out-of-pocket spending for seniors to all Americans.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s Project 2025 plans to repeal the Affordable Care Act while cutting access to long-term care for seniors and rolling back the $35 cap on insulin for Medicare recipients would hit the “sandwich generation” with higher health care and child care costs for themselves, their children, and their parents.

Center for American Progress: “Overall, Medicare Part D enrollees across the nation could lose out on up to $7.4 billion in out-of-pocket savings next year. Finally, in what would amount to a huge windfall for Big Pharma, Project 2025 would bar the federal government from negotiating for lower drug prices.

“Project 2025 shifts the tax burden from the wealthy onto the middle class. Based on analysis using U.S. Census income data, the median household headed by someone over age 65 would see a tax increase of $900 per year under the plan. …

Cutting access to long-term care: Project 2025 proposes capping Medicaid payments to states with no regard for their actual spending needs on health and long-term care. It also gives states the power to deny coverage of particular services, including long-term services and supports such as home and community-based care. According to KFF data, more than 21 million seniors and nonelderly adults with disabilities were enrolled in Medicaid in 2021; this accounted for nearly one-quarter of Medicaid recipients yet more than half of all Medicaid spending. Additionally, the proposed funding caps could force states to restrict eligibility for long-term services and supports, according to KFF. Alternatively, Medicaid funding caps could force states to outright deny coverage of particular benefits, especially costly services such as long-term care.”

Center for American Progress: “A stated goal of Project 2025 is to ‘[g]ive beneficiaries direct control of how they spend Medicare dollars.’ Yet the result of making MA the default Medicare enrollment option will be the opposite: to give for-profit corporations more control by restricting the choices of even more older Americans.

“Project 2025’s plan to make MA the default option will mean that corporations, not doctors or patients, will be able to control what care an even greater number of enrollees can and cannot receive.”

Trump: “And what we’d like to do is totally kill [the ACA], but come up — before we do that — with something that’s great.”

House Budget Committee Democrats: “59 years ago, Medicare was created to ensure seniors and Americans with disabilities can get the medical care they need. With the Inflation Reduction Act, House Democrats worked with President Biden and Vice President Harris to cap insulin prices, limit out-of-pocket costs, and negotiate lower drug prices for Americans with Medicare.

“Donald Trump’s Project 2025 would take us backward by repealing the Inflation Reduction Act and raising costs on at least 18 million seniors.”

Trump and Vance’s Project 2025 agenda would also tear away options for affordable, quality child care for families that are already stretched thin.

  • Project 2025 calls for elimination of the Head Start program, which has served nearly 40 million children and provided educational and developmental opportunities for low-income families.
  • Project 2025 doesn’t just want to do away with Head Start. It also rejects the notion of better funding child care programs and would rather families stay at home.
    • Bloomberg: “Project 2025 Says Parents Should Stay Home With Their Kids”
    • “‘Instead of providing universal day care,’ Project 2025 says on page 486, ‘funding should go to parents either to offset the cost of staying home with a child or to pay for familial, in-home childcare.’”

Trump-Vance Economic Agenda: Offshored Jobs, Shuttered Plants, and Attacking Manufacturing

After JD Vance visited Michigan today to double down on Donald Trump’s extensive economic failures and attack manufacturing funding, DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement:

“Just last week, JD Vance made clear that a second Trump term means a rerun of the same job losses and plant closures that defined his first term. Now, he’s making it clear that the Trump-Vance economic agenda would double down on Trump’s disastrous MAGAnomics blueprint that incentivized outsourcing and gave tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy at the expense of the middle class. Michigan voters rejected these failures and broken promises four years ago, and they’ll do the same thing four weeks from now when they send Vice President Harris and Governor Walz to the White House.”

JD Vance visited Michigan after signaling last week that Donald Trump will let their manufacturing plants close (again).

Detroit News: “Vance won’t commit to $500M federal grant for building EVs at Michigan auto plant”

“Republican vice presidential hopeful JD Vance would not commit a second Trump administration to honoring the Biden administration’s $500 million federal grant to General Motors Co. to convert a Cadillac sedan assembly plant in Michigan into a future electric vehicle plant.

“The Biden administration has said the conversion of GM’s Lansing Grand River Plant to assembling EVs would save 650 jobs and create 50 new positions. The Detroit automaker has signaled the assembled battery packs for the Lansing plant would come from the new battery plant it is constructing in nearby Delta Township, west of Lansing. …

“Vance’s comments on EVs while in Michigan on Wednesday tracked with Trump’s criticism of the Biden administration’s incentives for automakers to produce more electric vehicles.

“The Biden administration has not imposed a ban on gas-powered vehicle or required consumers to purchase EVs. But it has put in place numerous incentives and restrictions on future tailpipe emissions that incentivized automakers to build and sell more EVs.”

REMINDER: Trump’s disastrous record includes offshored jobs, shuttered factories, and manufacturing job losses in Michigan and across the country.

Federal Economic Data: “Michiganders lost 31,000 manufacturing jobs over the course of Trump’s presidency.”

MLive: “On the 2016 campaign trail in Warren, Trump pledged ‘you won’t lose one plant’ if he were elected. GM announced last year it would end production at five North American plants.”

CNN: “Trump told GM workers he could save their plant, but it’s gone for good”

“Manufacturing activity in September [of 2019] fell to its lowest point in a decade. The Rust Belt states of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan, which Trump flipped, have all lost manufacturing jobs since June. Many of those jobs have moved overseas.”

Wall Street Journal: “President Trump’s trade war against China didn’t achieve the central objective of reversing a U.S. decline in manufacturing, economic data show, despite tariffs on hundreds of billions of dollars of Chinese goods to discourage imports.”

Detroit Free Press: “Trump, tweets couldn’t save U.S. auto jobs in 2017”

New York Times: “After Years of Growth, Automakers Are Cutting U.S. Jobs”

Bloomberg: “The Offshoring of U.S. Jobs Increased on Trump’s Watch”

Washington Post: “Trump promised ‘America First’ would keep jobs here. But the tax plan might push them overseas.”

Bureau of Labor Statistics: “When Trump left office, there were over 170,000 fewer manufacturing jobs than when he started.”

Trump’s MAGAnomics tax scam rigged the economy for the ultra-wealthy and big corporations while leaving working families behind and skyrocketing the deficit.

The Guardian: “Donald Trump’s $1.5tn tax cuts have helped billionaires pay a lower rate than the working class for the first time in history.”

CBS News: “Two years after Trump tax cuts, middle-class Americans are falling behind”

Washington Post Analysis: “One of President Donald Trump’s lesser-known but profoundly damaging legacies will be the explosive rise in the national debt that occurred on his watch. The financial burden that he’s inflicted on our government will wreak havoc for decades, saddling our kids and grandkids with debt. The national debt has risen by almost $7.8 trillion during Trump’s time in office.

“The growth in the annual deficit under Trump ranks as the third-biggest increase, relative to the size of the economy, of any U.S. presidential administration, according to a calculation by Eugene Steuerle, co-founder of the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center. …

The combination of Trump’s 2017 tax cut and the lack of any serious spending restraint helped both the deficit and the debt soar.”

Vance: “The left attacked Donald Trump for those tax cuts and said they would make the deficit worse when in reality we took in more revenue because the government got out of the way on the regulatory side and the tax cuts spurred a lot of growth which means more people working, which meant more economic production which meant the entire economy was healthier … I think we have a pretty common sense regulatory and tax agenda.”

New York Times: “The 2017 corporate tax cuts signed into law by Mr. Trump have not increased government revenue … In fact, they have had the opposite effect.”

The Trump-Vance ticket now wants to enact their extreme, unpopular, and unaffordable Project 2025 agenda that would rig the economy for the ultra-wealthy again and risk supercharging inflation.

Axios: “Trump’s inflation bomb: How his second-term plans could make it worse”

The Atlantic: “Trump’s Plan to Supercharge Inflation”

Wall Street Journal: “A drumbeat of reports from Wall Street economists have warned that Trump’s plans could substantially slow economic growth while driving up consumer prices.”

CNBC: “Trump budget would spike deficits by nearly 5 times Harris proposal, says Penn Wharton”

Washington Post: “Trump and his advisers have discussed deeper cuts to both individual and corporate tax rates that would build on his controversial 2017 tax law … Further cutting corporate taxes … would primarily benefit large firms.”

Trump: “You’re all people that have a lot of money … You’re rich as hell. … We’re gonna give you tax cuts.”

Vanity Fair: “Donald Trump Wants to Give His Favorite Corporations Another Giant Tax Cut in a Second Term: Report”

Vance on Trump’s plan that would raise tariffs and raise costs for hardworking Americans: “This is a fascinating proposal and we could talk for a while about it.”

Vance: “I’ve reviewed a lot of [Project 2025]. There’s some good ideas in there.”

New York Times: “Senator JD Vance of Ohio, former President Donald J. Trump’s running mate, denied in an interview with NBC News on Sunday that tariffs had caused higher costs for Americans, as economists have documented.”

Trump was one of the most anti-worker and anti-union presidents in American history — and Vance also stands firmly against working people.

Trump: “I know the unions. They’re dues-sucking people. They just want their dues and they couldn’t care less.”

New York Times: “Does [Trump] support unions? He has had ‘great success’ in New York building with unions and also in Florida without unions. ‘If I had my choice,’ he said, ‘I think I’d take it without.’”

Associated Press: “During Trump’s presidency, the National Labor Relations Board reversed several key rulings that made it easier for small unions to organize, strengthened the bargaining rights of franchise workers and provided protection against anti-union measures for employees.

“The Supreme Court’s conservative majority — including three justices that Trump nominated — overturned a decades-old pro-union decision in 2018 involving fees paid by government workers. The justices in 2021 rejected a California regulation giving unions access to farm property so they could organize workers.”

Politico: “Vance has consistently opposed the PRO Act, the ‘holy grail of pro-union labor reform’ that organized labor and its allies on the Hill have been fighting for over two years to get passed. … Vance’s skepticism of the PRO Act is part of a more fundamental skepticism that he harbors toward organized labor.”

Fast Company: “Vance also voted in favor of a resolution to strike down the NLRB’s updated joint-employer rule, which would have given workers more leverage when organizing at companies—like Amazon—that rely heavily on third-party contractors, by forcing both employers to participate in labor negotiations.”

Statement from DNC Chair Jaime Harrison on the Vice Presidential Debate

In response to tonight’s vice presidential debate, DNC Chair Jaime Harrison released the following statement:

“Tonight’s debate drew a clear contrast for the American people. The Harris-Walz ticket will move our country forward, while the Trump-Vance ticket will drag us back. Governor Walz won on the issues tonight by talking to the American people about protecting our reproductive freedoms, lowering costs, and working with Vice President Harris to fight on behalf of all Americans. Meanwhile, JD Vance and Donald Trump want to make abortion ‘illegal nationally,’ give handouts to the ultra-wealthy, and pursue an extreme Project 2025 agenda at all costs. The American people see Vance for who he is: the Project 2025 poster boy chosen for the job because he will do and say whatever Trump tells him to, and can’t even admit that Trump lost the 2020 election. That’s why he’s the least popular vice presidential pick in modern history.

“This November, our country will be presented with a choice. We can join Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and choose a new way forward, or we can follow Trump and Vance down the path of darkness and chaos. With the election only 35 days away, Democrats are ready to put in the work and get out the vote – because we won’t go back.”

Election-Denying Extremist JD Vance’s Project 2025 Agenda Will Help Donald Trump Undermine Our Democracy

Reminder: No matter what Vance says, Project 2025 is an “undeniably Trump-driven operation” with deep ties to the Trump-Vance ticket.

JD Vance is an extreme election denier who won’t commit to accepting this November’s election results, said he would not have certified the 2020 election, and continues to whitewash the violent January 6 insurrection.

HuffPost: “[Vance] said he would accept a Biden win only if he considered the election to be legitimate. … Vance’s comments illustrate a new tactic by Republican lawmakers, who are now placing conditions on accepting election results.”

New York Times: “J.D. Vance Says He Would Accept the Election Results, With a Caveat”

Spectrum News: “Vance again says he wouldn’t have certified 2020 election if he was vice president”

Jason Calacanis, All-In Podcast: “Would you have certified the [last result of the election]?”

Vance: “Again, I would have asked the states to submit alternative slates of electors and let the country have the debate about what actually matters and what kind of an election that we have.”

Calacanis: “You wouldn’t have certified, to be clear?”

Vance: “I would have asked the states to submit alternative slates of electors, that’s what I would have done.”

ABC News: “JD Vance says [he] wouldn’t have certified 2020 race until states submitted pro-Trump electors”

Vance: “I think the entire post-2020 thing would have gone a lot better if there had actually been an effort to provide alternative slates of electors, and to force us to have that debate. I think it would’ve been a much better thing for the country. … [Trump] was trying to take a constitutional process to its natural conclusion.

“I think it would’ve been extraordinarily disappointing to a whole host of people that I care a lot about if Trump had just taken it [and conceded the 2020 election before January 6].”

New York Times: “[Vance] has said that, unlike Vice President Mike Pence in 2020, he would have helped Mr. Trump overturn the results, by accepting Trump electors that had not been elected by voters.”

Vance: “No real Republican with any credibility in the party is still blaming [Trump for January 6].”

The Hill: “JD Vance says he is ‘skeptical’ Pence’s life was in danger on Jan. 6”

Politico: “[Vance] downplayed the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, when Pence was forced to evacuate the building as rioters called for his hanging.”

Vance also has no problem with Donald Trump’s Project 2025 plans to use the government to go after his political opponents and replace civil servants with MAGA loyalists.

Kristen Welker, NBC: “Senator, if former President Trump were to win, if you were to be his vice president, would you support him appointing a special prosecutor to go after his political enemies, the Bidens?”

Vance: “Donald Trump is talking about appointing a special prosecutor to investigate Joe Biden for wrongdoing. … I think what Donald Trump is simply saying is we ought to investigate the prior administration.”

Vance: “I think that what Trump should do, like if I was giving him one piece of advice, is fire every single civil servant… replace them with our people.”

The Atlantic: “At the top of Vought and Dans’s must-do list for the next president: reissuing an executive order that Trump signed during his final months in office—and which President Joe Biden promptly reversed—that would allow the government to remove civil-service protections from as many as 50,000 federal jobs. The move would create a new class of employees known as Schedule F whom the president could fire at will.”

Associated Press: “Trump-era conservatives want to gut the ‘administrative state’ from within, by ousting federal employees they believe are standing in the way of the president’s agenda and replacing them with like-minded officials more eager to fulfill a new executive’s approach to governing.”

Trump is still pushing baseless lies about his loss by over 7 million votes in the 2020 election.

Associated Press: “[Trump] is flooding the airwaves and his social media platform with distortions, misinformation and unfounded conspiracy theories about his defeat.”

NBC News: “Re-litigating the 2020 election, repeating false claims it was stolen and casting aspersions on the security of mail voting remain major fixtures for [Trump] on the stump. … He regularly refers to the 2020 election as ‘rigged’ on his social media channels.”

Trump continues to praise and promise pardons for the violent insurrectionists he rallied to storm the Capitol on January 6, calling them “hostages” and “patriots.”

Washington Post: “Trump vows pardons, government apology to Capitol rioters if elected”

Rachel Scott, ABC News: “140 police officers were assaulted [on January 6]. Their injuries included broken bones, at least one officer lost an eye, one had two cracked ribs, two smashed spinal discs, another had a stroke. Were the people who assaulted those 140 officers, including those I just mentioned, ‘patriots’ who deserve pardons?”

[Trump refuses to answer]

Scott: “But sir, my question is on those rioters who assaulted officers. Would you pardon those people?”

Donald Trump: “Oh absolutely I would. If they’re innocent, I would pardon them.”

Scott: “They’ve been convicted.”

Trump: “Those people were treated very harshly… nobody was killed on January 6. But I think that the people of January 6 were treated very unfairly… they were there to complain about an election, and you know it’s very interesting, the biggest crowd I’ve ever spoken to.”

The Hill: “Trump describes imprisoned Jan. 6 rioters as ‘hostages’”

TIME: “Trump has sought to recast the insurrectionist riot as an act of patriotism. ‘I call them the J-6 patriots,’ Trump tells TIME. When asked whether he would consider pardoning every one of them, he says: ‘Yes, absolutely.’”

NBC News: “Former President Donald Trump promised Wednesday night that if he is elected he will pardon a ‘large portion’ of the people convicted of federal offenses for their participation in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.”

Trump: “January 6, it was the largest crowd I’ve ever spoken to. And they were there proud, they were there with love in their heart. That was an unbelievable — and it was a beautiful day.”

Trump has threatened political violence and warned of a “bloodbath” if he loses in November, and he is vowing to be a dictator on “day one” if he wins.

JD Vance is Pushing Trump’s Project 2025 “Inflation Bomb” to Hike Costs for Hardworking Families

Reminder: No matter what Vance says, Project 2025 is an “undeniably Trump-driven operation” with deep ties to the Trump-Vance ticket.

JD Vance is pushing Donald Trump’s extreme Project 2025 agenda that would risk supercharging inflation while giving tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations at the expense of America’s middle class.

CBS News: “Millions of low- and middle-class households would likely face significantly higher taxes under the Project 2025’s proposals.”

Vance supports Trump’s failed economic record that ballooned the deficit, created new incentives for companies to ship jobs overseas, and left him with the worst jobs record in modern American history.

Vance: “The left attacked Donald Trump for those tax cuts and said that they would actually make the deficit worse when in reality we took in more revenue because the government got out of the way on the regulatory side and the tax cuts spurred a lot of growth which means more people working, which meant more economic production which meant the entire economy was healthier … I think that we have a pretty common sense regulatory and tax agenda.”

New York Times: “The 2017 corporate and individual tax cuts signed into law by Mr. Trump have not increased government revenue … In fact, they have had the opposite effect.”

Fortune: “Trump to leave office with the worst jobs record since Herbert Hoover”

Bloomberg: “Trump’s Jobs Record Fell Short of Promises Even Before the Virus”

The Guardian: “Donald Trump’s $1.5tn tax cuts have helped billionaires pay a lower rate than the working class for the first time in history.”

Washington Post: “One of President Donald Trump’s lesser-known but profoundly damaging legacies will be the explosive rise in the national debt that occurred on his watch. The financial burden that he’s inflicted on our government will wreak havoc for decades, saddling our kids and grandkids with debt. The national debt has risen by almost $7.8 trillion during Trump’s time in office. … The growth in the annual deficit under Trump ranks as the third-biggest increase, relative to the size of the economy, of any U.S. presidential administration.”

Washington Post: “Trump promised ‘America First’ would keep jobs here. But the tax plan might push them overseas.”

Reality Check: JD Vance Says He Wants to Make Abortion “Illegal Nationally” and Has Attacked Exceptions for Rape and Incest

Reminder: No matter what Vance says, Project 2025 is an “undeniably Trump-driven operation” with deep ties to the Trump-Vance ticket.

FACT: JD Vance’s anti-choice record includes wanting abortion to be “illegal nationally,” attacking exceptions for rape and incest, comparing abortion to slavery, and more.

CNN: “JD Vance said in 2022 he ‘would like abortion to be illegal nationally’”

“During a podcast interview in January 2022, then-candidate JD Vance said he ‘certainly would like abortion to be illegal nationally’ and was ‘sympathetic’ to the view that a national ban was necessary to stop women from traveling across states to obtain an abortion.”

Vance: “I am 100 percent pro-life, and believe that abortion has turned our society into a place where we see children as an inconvenience to be thrown away rather than a blessing to be nurtured. Eliminating abortion is first and foremost about protecting the unborn, but it’s also about making our society more pro-child and pro-family. The historic Dobbs decision puts this new era of society into motion, one that prioritizes family and the sanctity of all life.”

Newsweek: “J.D. Vance Backs ‘National Standard’ for Abortions”

Daily Beast: “J.D. Vance suggested he would support prohibiting abortion even in cases of rape and incest—and dismissed those catalysts as ‘inconvenient.’”

Vice: “JD Vance Compared Abortion to Slavery”

FACT: Vance has repeatedly BAILED on protecting reproductive rights.

Ohio Capital Journal: “U.S. Senate GOP prevents contraception access bill from moving ahead”

“Ohio Republican U.S. Sen. JD Vance didn’t vote.”

Independent: “JD Vance didn’t even show up to vote on [IVF protections].”

Jennifer Bendery, Huffington Post: “Vance won’t be at today’s Senate vote…”

The Hill: “Senate Republicans block legislation to codify IVF access”

Republicans who voted against include: JD Vance.

Vanity Fair: “On Wednesday, Senate Republicans are expected to object to Tammy Duckworth’s Right to Build Families Act, because, surprise: They don’t actually care about families and aren’t ‘pro-life.’

“‘It’s idiotic for us to take the bait,’ Senator JD Vance told Politico, as though the measure were some kind of political trap. (He also noted that he had not actually read the bill yet.)”

NBC News: “Senate Republicans block Democratic bill codifying Roe v. Wade abortion protections”

“Senate Republicans on Wednesday blocked legislation led by Democrats to revive the protections of Roe v. Wade in the wake of the Supreme Court eliminating the nationwide right to abortion.”

Republicans who voted against include: JD Vance.

FACT: Vance, Donald Trump, and their Project 2025 allies are pushing a dangerous Project 2025 agenda that would ban abortion nationwide, threaten access to IVF and contraception, and rip away reproductive freedoms.

Rolling Stone: “Trump Wants to Ban Abortion Nationwide: Report”

Trump: “There of course remains a vital role for the federal government in protecting unborn life. And it’s very important.”

Trump: “There has to be some form of punishment [for women who have an abortion].”

Barbara Barr, WGAL: “There are ads running that say that you would support certain states with bans monitoring a woman’s pregnancy.”

The Nation: “Project 2025 Has Bad Medicine for HHS”

“And by declaring that life begins at conception, his manifesto appears to commit HHS to finding ways to outlaw IVF, which relies on generating multiple embryos, most of which are not implanted.”

Rolling Stone: “Inside the MAGA Plan to Attack Birth Control, Surveil Women and Ban the Abortion Pill”

Vance: “I’ve reviewed a lot of [Project 2025]. There are some good ideas in there.”

Axios: “[Project 2025] is undeniably a Trump-driven operation.

FACT: Vance celebrated when Trump “proudly” overturned Roe v. Wade and made cruel abortion bans across the country possible.

Vance: “I think that what I really think on – so first of all, the Dobbs decision, everybody knows, overruled Roe v. Wade – I think that was the right decision.”

Trump: “I was proudly the person responsible for the ending of Roe v. Wade

Trump: “For 54 years they were trying to get Roe v. Wade terminated, and I did it, and I’m proud to have done it. … Nobody else was going to get that done but me, and we did it, and we did something that was a miracle.”

New York Times: 22 states across the country currently have abortion bans.

Fox News: “Trump says he’s ‘proud to be the most pro-life president’ in US history on anniversary of Roe v. Wade overturn”

FACT: Attacks on reproductive freedom, like Trump and Vance’s anti-choice Project 2025 agenda, are wildly unpopular.

USA Today: “Americans overwhelmingly oppose the next goal of many anti-abortion activists, to enact a federal law banning abortion nationwide. By 80%-14%, those surveyed opposed that idea, including 65% of Republicans and 83% of independents.”

JD Vance Backs Trump’s Project 2025 Tax Scam to Rig the Economy for the Ultra-Wealthy on the Backs of Working Families (Again)

Reminder: No matter what Vance says, Project 2025 is an “undeniably Trump-driven operation” with deep ties to the Trump-Vance ticket.

JD Vance backed Donald Trump’s MAGAnomics tax scam that gave handouts to the ultra-wealthy at the expense of the middle class — and he’s ready to help Trump take it even further with their Project 2025 agenda.

Vance on Trump’s plan that would raise tariffs and raise costs for hardworking Americans: “This is a fascinating proposal and we could talk for a while about it.”

Vance: “The left attacked Donald Trump for those tax cuts and said that they would actually make the deficit worseI think that we have a pretty common sense regulatory and tax agenda.”

JD Vance Helped Tank the Toughest, Fairest Bipartisan Border Bill in Decades At Trump’s Command

Reminder: No matter what Vance says, Project 2025 is an “undeniably Trump-driven operation” with deep ties to the Trump-Vance ticket.

JD Vance put politics and Donald Trump’s political interests ahead of border safety by helping tank the toughest, fairest bipartisan border deal in decades — calling legislation to increase the number of border agents, stop human trafficking, and stem the flow of illegal drugs a “disaster.”

Vance: “[The border deal] was not a real border bill.”

Vance: “[The border deal] was a disaster.”

May 2024: Vance voted against advancing the bipartisan border security deal.

New York Times: “Republicans Against Border Enforcement”

Axios: “Trump, House Republicans plot to kill border deal”

Vox: “Trump made this clear when he reportedly urged Republicans in Congress to turn against the bipartisan Senate border security bill scheduled for a vote Wednesday so that he could keep the issue alive through the presidential election. His supporters have largely fallen in line.”

CNN: “Trump, who is hoping to make immigration a key plank of his presidential campaign, has suggested on Truth Social that approving additional resources for the border would make Republicans ‘look bad.’”

Rolling Stone: “Border Patrol Supports ‘Strong’ Immigration Deal. Republicans Don’t Care”

Trump: “Please blame it on me.”

Trump: “I think [Republicans] are making a terrible mistake if they vote for the bill.”

The extreme and cruel Trump-Vance Project 2025 immigration agenda includes ripping away children from their parents, rounding up people into detention camps, and using the military to carry out mass deportations.

New York Times: “Sweeping Raids, Giant Camps and Mass Deportations: Inside Trump’s 2025 Immigration Plans”

“To ease the strain on ICE detention facilities, Mr. Trump wants to build huge camps to detain people while their cases are processed and they await deportation flights. And to get around any refusal by Congress to appropriate the necessary funds, Mr. Trump would redirect money in the military budget, as he did in his first term to spend more on a border wall than Congress had authorized.

“Such camps could also enable the government to speed up the pace and volume of deportations of undocumented people who have lived in the United States for years and so are not subject to fast-track removal.”

Politico: “If he wins the 2024 election, Trump intends to reimplement many of his first-term policies, including the so-called Muslim ban and the use of Title 42 to turn away asylum seekers. He also wants to deport migrants by the millions per year, detaining them in large camps while they await expulsion… The former president further wants to end birthright citizenship for children born to undocumented immigrants.

“Stephen Miller, a senior aide who crafted many of Trump’s first-term policies, is once again heavily involved in the planning.”

CNN: “Trump plots mass detention and deportation of undocumented immigrants should he regain power”

Reuters: “In a town hall with CNN last year, Trump declined to rule out resuming his contentious ‘zero tolerance’ policy that led thousands of migrant children and parents to be separated at the U.S.-Mexico border in 2018. He defended the separations again in November, telling Spanish-language news outlet Univision that ‘it stopped people from coming by the hundreds of thousands.’”

Trump Campaign: “Americans can expect that immediately upon President Trump’s return to the Oval Office, he will restore all of his prior policies, implement brand new crackdowns that will send shock waves to all the world’s criminal smugglers, and marshal every federal and state power necessary to institute the largest deportation operation in American history.”

FACT: Trump’s inner orbit of MAGA extremists includes Stephen Miller and Tom Homan, architects of Trump’s cruel family separation policy who have ties to Project 2025.

The Week: “Former Trump staffers involved with Project 2025 include former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and Trump’s former senior adviser Stephen Miller, the latter of whom has been described as a white nationalist.”

NBC News: “In early May 2018, after weeks of phone calls and private meetings, 11 of the president’s most senior advisers were called to the White House Situation Room, where they were asked, by a show-of-hands vote, to decide the fate of thousands of migrant parents and their children, according to two officials who were there. President Donald Trump’s senior adviser Stephen Miller led the meeting, and, according to the two officials, he was angry at what he saw as defiance by Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen. … At the meeting, Miller accused anyone opposing zero tolerance of being a lawbreaker and un-American, according to the two officials present.”

New York Times: “The White Nationalist Websites Cited by Stephen Miller”

NBC News: “Homan was an early proponent of the administration’s controversial ‘zero tolerance’ policy, which resulted in at least 5,500 families being separated at the southern border in 2018.”

Mother Jones: “On the Anniversary of Family Separation, the Heritage Foundation Hosted the Policy’s Intellectual ‘Father’”

“Homan is also helping lay the groundwork for a potential second Trump presidency’s mass deportation plans.”
